TimeIt360 has two optional display controls in the top-right of the app header, next to the sign-out button. Both are personal preferences — they change only how the app looks on your screen, never the data or anyone else's view — and both are remembered in your browser, so your choice sticks the next time you open the app on the same device. Each one starts on the standard setting, so the app looks exactly as before until you change it.
At a glance
- UI size (the small-A / large-A pill): scales the whole interface up or down. Use the compact size to fit more on screen on a regular or large display.
- Simplified tables (the rows icon): switches data tables (Teachers, Subjects, Grades, etc.) to a flatter, stripped-back "ledger" look. Independent of the UI size control — you can use either, both, or neither.
- Both settings are saved per browser. Changing them on your laptop doesn't affect your phone, a colleague's login, or any printed/exported timetable.
UI size (small / large)
Where: Top-right of the header — a small pill with two "A"s, a little one and a big one.
Click the large A for the comfortable size (the default — larger text and spacing). Click the small A for the compact size, which shrinks the entire interface and also tightens the page margins and header height so more fits on screen at once. This is handy on regular or large monitors where the default leaves a lot of empty space.
The whole app scales together — sidebar, buttons, forms, and tables — so everything stays in proportion. Your choice is saved in this browser and re-applied automatically the next time you sign in on the same device.
Simplified tables
Where: Top-right of the header — the icon that looks like stacked rows, just left of the size pill.
Turn this on for a cleaner, lower-chrome look on the app's data tables (Teachers, Subjects, Grades, Teacher→Subject Assignments, and the like). In this mode tables use:
- thinner text and lighter styling,
- only the lines needed to keep rows readable (less boxing and shading),
- category labels shown as plain coloured text instead of filled tags,
- borderless edit / delete icons in the row actions.
Click the icon again to return to the standard table look. This setting affects only the standard data tables — the timetable grid itself is unchanged, so your generated and published schedules always look the same.
💡 The two controls are independent. For example, you can keep the comfortable UI size but switch tables to the simplified look, or use the compact size with standard tables. Mix and match to suit your screen.
